Pro-Dex

Pro-Dex produces a wide choice of board for motion controls that can be used on PCI bus, cPCI bus, Pc/104 bus, ISA bus, VNE bus as well as stepper motors and drivers. Pro-Dex offers the precision required for a scanning electron microscope to the flexibilily needed in assembly line packaging, Pro-Dex controllers do the job.
The power of the software Pro-Dex-EZ command set is its simplicity and versatility. The value of Pro-Dex command sets realized by a rapid time-to-market and easy maintenance by non computer experts. In addition, real-time Application Programmers now have the ability to build systems that will react to external events and trigger ancillary processes through a single motion control interface.
Pro-Dex-EZ commands are composed of ASCII character strings. A complete motion control project may often be accomplished using a simple text editor or word processor. Just type the desired command sequence into the tex editor and send it off to an Pro-Dex controller.

MAXv

The MAXv 1 to 8 axes of motion controller is VME64 compliant and backwards compatible with the VME58 controller.

MAXv is built on a PowerPC 32-bit RISC processor running at 266 MHz. The use of this processor delivers exceptional servo control, capabilities, quality, and application performance on multi-axes requirements.

User-selectable axes types include open or closed stepper and 16-bit analog servo. Independent analog inputs bring parameters such as temperature and pressure under the control of the running application. Two additional encoder inputs boost precision and control. All signals, data points, and the PID loop update every 122 µs on all axes.
The bus interface uses shared memory technology to communicate both commands from the host and feedback of motion control parameters, eliminating the communication bottlenecks of single-address, port based approaches.

MAXv controllers support two 68-pin and one 50-pin SCSI type connector on the front panel as well as a 160-pin connector at P2 for backplane connections.

PC 78

The PC78 is a PC/104 bus-based controller, and Stand-Alone controller, with high speed RS232 port, will operate from up to 4 axes of Stepper, and Servo applications. Independent and coordinated motion of all axes.
The PC78 supports up to 24 general purpose TTL I/O. The step pulse is a TTL level 50% duty cycle square wave that supports velocities of 0 through 1,044,000 pulses per second.

The encoder feedback functionality supports quadrature encoders up to 12 MHz and is used as feedback for the servo or stepper axes or as independent position feedback.
Every axis includes dedicated opto isolated +/- over travel inputs, a home input, and an auxiliary output.

The PC78 is available in several different models at several different prices so that you don't have to pay for a lot of functionality that you don't need.

Stepper Motor Driver MD125

The MD125 microstepping motor driver module is designed to run hybrid permanent magnet step motors. The MD125 is designed to run motors rated from .1 to 14 amps per phase. Motor current regulation is achieved by a high efficiency pulse width modulator (PWM) circuit using power MOSFETs. This results in a cooler running motor with less wasted energy.
