Orbital welding techniques were initially developed for high-tech usage such as aerospace and semiconductor application.

Today, this type of welding process is used in pharmaceutical, food and beverage, chemical, petrochemical and many other applications.

Orbimatic GmbH offers a wide range of power supply, all computer controlled and with data logging options.

The power supply can work in direct or alternate current dependig on the model, and can weld various tubing and piping materials: carbon steel, stainless steel, titanium, aluminum, special alloy and even copper. All the models can easily programmed and a special software is included for set up of the welding method for non expert users.

The weld heads produced are close type and open type.The latter allows wire feed option. There are weldheads available for the welding tube to tube sheet or special model can be designed to fit the customer's needs. All the weldhead models are water cooled and custom designed collets can be supplied for special applications: e.g. welding tee, flanges etc.
